Operate switchboard and answer all incoming calls, assist visitors and perform various secretarial/clerical assignments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate switchboard to relay incoming calls and record telephone messages as needed.
Provide courteous and prompt service to all callers to make sure calls are swiftly and properly forwarded.
Greet all visitors courteously, determine their needs and contact appropriate person.
Maintain visitor log and control.
Makes certain all visitors are issued and visibly wear Visitors Identification Badges.
Issue clean safety glasses to visitors as required.
Maintains the internal telephone directory.
Monitors security video system, promptly communicates concerns of unusual, unsafe, threatening activities to the VP Mfg and HR and the Facilities Manager.
Review and enter time, attendance, manufacturing information into computer software programs.
Emergency response coordination through phone lines.
Maintain professional appearance of the reception area.
Provide support to all areas, including manufacturing.
Adhere to all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
Follows the official policy for Good Manufacturing Practices as required in the Medical Device Amendments to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
Provides feedback and pro-active communication to supervisor, management, and co-workers to ensure efficient and effective operations. Contributes input to management based on knowledge of processes toward process and product improvement efforts of the company.
Provide other department and manufacturing support as requested by immediate supervisor.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with switchboard and typewriter. General knowledge of personal computers and software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.
