This person will provide financial, product costing, and engineering support to the Finance, Business Development, Customer Service and Manufacturing Departments. Cost Analyst responsibilities will include establishing work measurement programs and analyzing work samples to develop standards for labor utilization; analyzing work force and equipment utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment; oversight and maintenance of manufacturing operational standards and yields after review with manufacturing and finance; update and maintain supply service and raw material costs as changes occur on the standard cost work sheets; participate in year end standard product costing roll-up; oversight and maintenance of engineering masters in Visual software including bill of material, and operation records; review and approve engineering specifications, operation records, MPS and IPS in Master Control software for live and new products; manage all aspects of new product costing by developing data with engineering support to assist the request for quote process; Analyze the impact of product design changes on raw material costs, manufacturing methods, and services to determine the impact on product cost; generate reports for management specifying and comparing factors effecting prices and profitability of products or services; review open work orders to ensure all costs for materials and services have been issued correctly and orders are closed at the appropriate time; generate monthly closed order variance report, analyze actual manufacturing costs versus standard costs, closed order variances, trends data over time and organizes monthly review meetings of closed order variances; generate the monthly direct labor variance report, analyze actual rates versus standard rates and trends data over time; recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
Inventory Control Analyst responsibilities will include reviewing inventory control procedures and ensure accurate inventory values; responsible for all Cycle Counts and implementing procedures to control our inventory; coordinate all aspects of the company’s various annual physical inventory counts; responsible for inventory and all adjusting entries made into the inventory system; participate in weekly MRB meetings; process all Scrap Authorizations and report on all scrap for the year; prepare slow moving inventory analysis reports; confer with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations; lead teams to improve operational performance and coordinate projects such as moves, operation changes, and new process implementation; devises, supervises, provides and coordinates training programs or media which will increase productivity and efficiency and proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four year college or university; or seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lean Master and Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
