Greg Haas, Director of Engineering, is responsible for leading the engineering development activities including new and existing business activities for the Company. With more than 20 years of medical device industry experience, he has a unique perspective of leading medical device development within both the corporate environment and the start-up world. He began his career as a project engineer for Arrow International. He led many product and process development projects including catheter access systems and surface modifications. During his seventeen-year tenure with Arrow, he was promoted to several senior management positions including Vice President, Research & Development, Critical Care.
In 2008, he launched an independent medical device consulting business. He consulted for various clients in life-sciences and discovered that his skills and passions aligned well with startup companies. One such company was Semprus BioSciences, a spin out from MIT. During a full-time engagement with Semprus, he participated in raising a Series B round while performing the roles of project manager and regulatory lead for the company’s flagship technology, resulting in an FDA clearance and CE Mark approval. Semprus was acquired by Teleflex in 2012.
Mr. Haas holds a Master of Science in the Management of Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a Cardiovascular concentration from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Haas is a graduate of the Leadership Berks Community Leadership Development Program and continues to be an active leader in his community and church. He resides in Fleetwood with his wife and three sons. Much of his time outside of work is spent with his family at youth athletic and music events.
Brian Tennies has joined the PMP family as our Director of Operations. Brian is formerly the Vice President of Manufacturing for Arrow International, Inc. In that role, he had overall responsibility for 10 manufacturing facilities world-wide and 3,000 employees. He managed strategic sourcing, engineering development, product and process support, global logistics, and demand planning. He also had responsibility for FDA compliance and safety at these facilities. He has led multiple cost reduction and quality improvement efforts in a variety of organizational areas. Prior to this he was a plant manager at Arrow’s Chihuahua, Mexico and Mount Holly, New Jersey facilities. Prior to Arrow, he worked in manufacturing and engineering roles for Becton Dickinson and Company, as well as General Motors. Most recently, he has been an independent consultant supporting development, construction, and start-up of medical device manufacturing operations in Europe and Asia. Brian and his wife, Sandy, reside in Oley, PA. They have one son, Christopher, who lives in West Reading, PA with his wife, Lisa.
David Leighton, Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs is responsible for the planning and implementation of the quality management systems at Precision Medical Products and the company’s compliance to national and international regulations regarding device manufacturing, registration, and approval.In his more than two decades in the device business, Mr. Leighton has held positions in product engineering, manufacturing/industrial engineering, and quality management at Precision Medical Products and predecessor companies. He is named as co-inventor on several patents for innovative single use endoscopic devices.
Mr. Leighton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. David is a member of RAPS, a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, a Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence and a Certified Biomedical Auditor.
David volunteers his time as a sound and video technology director and board member of a local house of worship and enjoys gardening, hiking, music and photography. Mr. Leighton is a resident of Lancaster County, PA.
Her previous programming, data processing and systems experience involved creating application systems for all areas of manufacturing and distribution companies and her consulting experience spans various industries. She worked on the automation of different accounting tasks and reporting functions and developed her own method of training individuals on how to work with computerized accounting systems.
She holds a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from Millersville University, Millersville, Pa., making her a third generation female graduate from Millersville University. She graduated from the Leadership Berks program at Alvernia College in the Class of 2010. Mrs. Kreider is a member of the Board of Directors of Berks Encore.
Kreider has participated in numerous volunteer activities including efforts for Berks Women in Crisis, Relay for Life and United Way. She enjoys fishing, sewing, and gardening and resides with her husband, George, in Myerstown, Pa.
Bill Ruth, Director of Business Development at PMP, is responsible for supporting all existing customer relationships and fostering our future partnerships. His expertise in a broad range of medical device products and contract manufacturing services also supports PMP’s sales and marketing initiatives.
Bill is experienced in logistical strategies to decrease your product’s time from manufacturing to the marketplace. Most recently, Bill has worked for B. Braun Medical’s OEM Division as the Senior Manager of Sales, leading their Domestic sales team with responsibilities for all business to business relationships. He brings with him an extensive knowledge of the medical device product development process and the ability to turn your new concept into a field-ready device. With 14 years of medical device experience, Bill has an in-depth knowledge of the Regulatory environment which our partners operate within.
Bill holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University and a Master’s degree from Michigan State University.
Bill resides in Berks County with his wife Kelly and their three children. He volunteers his time as a youth sports coach and as a Board Member for Supportive Concepts for Families (SCFFI) in Reading. If he isn’t attending a function for his family he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing along with cheering on his favorite pro and college sports teams.
